Description

IFLTK (pronounced Eiffeltick) stands for the Improved Fast-Light ToolKit, and is an Eiffel wrapper for the ยป FLTK (pronounced Fulltick) GUI library.

FLTK offers a portable GUI that looks the same under Windows, Linux and the Macintosh, and so is similar in some respects to such libraries as wxWindows. The way in which FLTK differs however is in its size and speed. It is perhaps the most compact GUI solution available, typically incurring an application overhead of 300k or less without need for external dependancies. This minimal footprint, coupled with its speed, recently made it the GUI solution for short lived Agenda Vr handheld. It is the author's opinion that other efforts to develop a Linux handheld device might also incorporate the FLTK GUI for the same reasons.

The author writes: The current version of the IFLTK library improves upon the last release in a number of important ways, including the following: Design by contract ... inline documentation ... basic user documentation ... tests ... the agent callback mechanism has been simplified and made more intuitive.
